Chemicals come pre-measured and every experiment is bagged and labeled on its own. Nothing is portioned out the night before.
No lab technician
Every experiment has a video, and the Student Lab Guide carries the background, the steps and the data tables. A teacher outside their subject can run it.
Measured, not asserted
What a college found when it compared them
Over two academic years a community college ran both: a traditional biology laboratory section, and a section working from this kit. A hundred and twenty-six students, the same modules, the same experiments, the same assessments.
Final grades averaged 77.3 in the traditional sections and 82.9 with the kit. A student working from the kit had a 60% chance of finishing at 80% or above; in the traditional lab it was 42%. The kit sections also lost fewer students to withdrawal.
Faculty kept describing it the same way: a complete package, curriculum and assessments included, which gave them back the hours they had been spending building one. They saw it carry into the lecture course too, where kit students had a firmer grip on the abstract material.
One student put it more plainly than any of that: “I enjoyed getting to do Biology at a college level while still in high school.”
