DIY Drone
Build a drone, then pilot its very first flight! This kit includes everything needed to build a real flying quadcopter and the remote control that steers it. The frame, motors, propellers, and remote all come together step by step. Once the drone is ready, the remote controls its direction while the onboard circuit board keeps it steady in the air. It is a hands-on introduction to the engineering behind drones that map land, inspect equipment, and explore other worlds.

Real-world connection
How Do Drones Stay in the Air?
Drones equipped with cameras and sensors collect data on Earth and in space. Industries use them to survey land, inspect equipment, and even make deliveries. Keeping a quadcopter steady takes teamwork between its parts. A circuit board senses every tilt and adjusts the speed of each motor many times a second, while two propellers spin one way and two spin the other so the drone does not twist in circles. With this kit, that same balance of engineering and technology takes to the sky.
For classrooms
The DIY Drone is a great fit for classrooms, after-school programs, and camps. Each kit builds one drone and remote control and arrives individually packaged with all materials and instructions included.
