NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO Club

The world’s ONLY NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO Club with a LIVE virtual co-teacher every week!

Bring the wonder of NASA to your site without adding another program for your team to plan. NASA ASTRO CAMP TO GO runs as a nine-week club led LIVE by a Central Creativity virtual teacher, with your own facilitator in the room and all materials shipped to your door.

A club meeting in a school library: two long tables of students holding up the small cardboard rockets they have just built, each with a light glowing in its nose, while the live instructor takes the session from the screen at the front of the room.
A club at a partner site. Your room, your facilitator, our teacher on the screen.

What makes it different

A LIVE experience every week, not a video.

Most STEM programs stop at the curriculum. NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO delivers a LIVE class every week. Our virtual co-teacher opens each mission, teaches the science and walks students through the activity, and subject matter experts join the club across the nine weeks. Your on-site facilitator supports students hands-on in the room.

A guest scientist answering a question from the screen while learners in the room put their hands up.

Guest Speakers

Subject matter experts join during some of the club meetings to answer learner questions live.

A video call showing several other club rooms at once, every one of them working the same activity.

A national crew

Your learners interact live with NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO clubs across the country during the same class hour.

A girl tips her head back to launch a small paper rocket with a puff of breath, while behind her the rest of the crew works on their own builds and an adult moves between the desks rather than standing at the front.

Your room, our teacher

An educator or staff member at your site manages the room while our virtual teacher leads the content delivery.

A LIVE co-teacher every week. LIVE experts. Only with a NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO Club.

The facilitator role

No science background needed.

The Club Facilitator is an educator or staff member at your site — a classroom teacher, after-school leader or paraprofessional. Central Creativity delivers the NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO Facilitator Training virtually, so no travel is required. Facilitators complete the activities themselves during training before leading learners.

Facilitators are paid a stipend by Central Creativity for the nine-week club session and receive a certificate of completion. Contact us for more info!

The program at a glance

Nine weeks, five missions.

  • 9 weekly one-hour LIVE sessions.
  • 5 NASA missions, with a career connection in every lesson: Arrive and Investigate, Establish a Base, Sustain and Grow, Explore the Unknown, Discover the Next Horizon.
  • Up to 25 campers per crew, with one facilitator for every Club.
  • Grades K–12, in three bands: Explorers (K–2), Innovators (3–5), Trailblazers (6–12).

Scheduling. Your cluster meets on its own day, at the same time, for all nine weeks. Your site picks the hour that works, 11:00, 3:15 or 5:15 Central, and new LIVE clubs start every nine weeks. Before and after care may be added by the site for an additional fee.

Or run it on your own schedule. Those dates apply to LIVE club participation only. Our professional development prepares your facilitator to lead the club entirely on their own, so there are no start dates and no deadlines. Order your kits and begin whenever you want.

Don’t Take Our Word for It

From somebody who has seen a lot of kits.

“I’m highly impressed with the kit’s organization and labeling, which surpasses others I’ve purchased at a higher cost. Your team has really nailed it.”

Dr. Mamta Patel Nagaraja Former NASA Associate Chief Scientist for Exploration and Applied Research

Also available

NASA ASTRO CAMP® TO GO Summer Camp.

The same curriculum, as a five-day summer camp.

The same NASA-developed curriculum runs as a five-day summer camp for grades K–12. Host it during one of our LIVE camp weeks with virtual co-teachers, opening and closing sessions, and Q&A with subject matter experts, or run it on your own dates with a full day of staff training. Summer sites receive the same kits, marketing package, registration system and impact report.

Ready to launch?

Tell us about your site.

Bring the Club to my site

Complete the interest form and a member of our team will contact you. Nothing here commits you to anything — most of these conversations start with somebody who is not yet sure the club fits.

Nothing is committed by sending this. It reaches a person here in Laurel, Mississippi, and somebody will reply — usually within one business day. We use what you send to answer you and nothing else.

Ready to Launch?

A club can be up and running quickly. We just need time for kits to reach your site in time for the first session.

Questions? We would love to hear from you.

Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00 CT

The Next Horizon kit open on a classroom desk, a dozen sealed bags fanned out of it with their activity names printed on the front -- Chemical Seaweed, Fuel Factor, Tin Dendrites, Oxygen Generator -- and not a shopping list in sight.
One kit per learner, at your site before the first session.
