Ozobot Ari
Ari is the step up from Evo. Same screen-free Color Codes to start, but Ari carries a 390 by 390 touchscreen, runs Android, and answers back β which is what makes it the robot for the grades where a line on paper stops being enough.
Sold and supported by Central Creativity, an official Ozobot reseller. Choose the Entry Kit for a single robot, or a Classroom Kit to put a bot in front of every pair of students.

Ozobot Ari

The coding robot with a screen · grades 3–8
The robot that answers back.
Ari starts where Evo does — color drawn on paper — and then keeps going. A 390 by 390 touchscreen, time-of-flight sensing and a computer underneath let a middle-school class build something a line on paper could never express, and show it to you on the robot's own face.

Why Ari
Six reasons Ari is the right next step
Everything your students already know how to do, plus a screen that lets them build something worth showing off.
Ari reads the same Color Codes Evo does, with the same markers. A class moving up from elementary is running it on day one, with nothing to relearn.
A 390 by 390 touchscreen on top means a program can show something, not just blink. That is the line between a toy and a project a thirteen-year-old will take seriously.
Time-of-flight distance, tilt from the accelerometer, rotation from the gyroscope. All at once the maths in a robotics lesson is maths worth doing.
Ari runs Android and is AI-enabled, which is why the apps built for it — Life Cycles, The Night Sky, Distance — do things a line-follower simply cannot.
The classroom kits charge wirelessly from a single cradle, and everything lives in a storage bin between lessons. Mornings get shorter.
Ari shares Ozobot Classroom with the rest of the line: 700+ standards-aligned lessons, free, in a browser. Nothing to relearn and nothing extra to buy.
Under the shell
A screen, three sensors, and a computer inside
Ari is built to do what a line-follower cannot: measure, tilt, turn by degrees, and put the answer on its own display.
390 by 390 pixels on top of the robot, and the thing that makes Ari a different animal from a line-follower.
Ari can listen. That is what the sound and voice lessons are built on.
Sound and feedback straight from a student's own program.
Measures real distance to whatever is in front of it, and puts the number on the screen.
Rotation, tilt and movement — the readings that make turn-by-degrees and data-collection lessons work.
Object detection, the same as Evo's.
Underneath. The pick-up sensor knows when the robot has been lifted off the surface.
Bluetooth Low Energy like Evo, plus Wi-Fi, which is how a tablet reaches the Ozobot Editor.
A real operating system under the shell, which is why the Editor can drop AI blocks into a student's program.
Strong enough for the floor, and 1.5 inches tall.

One robot, or one for every pair
The same Ari is in every box. What changes is how many hands are on one, and what it takes to keep a class of them charged and protected.

How students code it
Start with a marker. Finish in the Editor.
The easy way in is the one they already know. What is new is how far it goes afterwards.
Screen-free, with Color Codes
The same dual-tip markers and the same drawn sequences Evo reads. For a class coming up from elementary, the first lesson needs no introduction at all.
- No device needed to start
- Works on paper or a printed activity sheet
- The Color Code chart is the whole reference
On screen, with the Editor, blocks and Python
The Ozobot Editor is Ari's browser environment: drag-and-drop blocks to start, Python when a class is ready for text, and AI blocks that read Ari's sensors and draw interfaces on its screen. Students end up designing their own touchscreen apps.
- Blocks, then Python, on the same robot
- AI blocks take readings and put visuals on Ari's screen
- Life Cycles, The Night Sky and Distance are built for it

The lessons
Over 700 lessons, already written for you.
Ozobot Classroom is free, runs in a browser, and is full of standards-aligned lessons. Ari's video lessons run from pre-K all the way to university level, and the interactive ones use the touchscreen and its sensors rather than just the wheels. No licence, nothing to renew.
- Computer science. Sequencing, loops, conditionals and debugging, from Color Codes on paper all the way to text.
- Math. Measurement, geometry, counting and operations, with the robot as the thing being measured.
- Science. Investigations where the robot is the instrument or the subject, mapped to NGSS performance expectations.
- Reading and writing. Story-driven lessons, writing prompts and discussion activities that happen to involve a robot.
The lineup
Two robots. Pick the right one.
They all read the same Color Codes and share the same free lessons. What changes is the grade range and how far the robot can go.
Ozobot Evo
Grades K–5Color Codes on paper, line following, proximity sensing, programmable lights and sound, and Blockly and Python when the class is ready. The robot behind Around the Neighborhood with Evo.

Grades 3–8Everything Evo reads, plus a 390 by 390 touchscreen, a time-of-flight sensor, an accelerometer and a gyroscope, running Android. The step up for older students.
You are looking at this one. What Ari has that Evo does not
- A hi-resolution touchscreen
- A microphone
- Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth
- A time-of-flight distance sensor
- A pick-up sensor, so it knows when it has been lifted
- An accelerometer and a gyroscope
- Interactive lessons that use the screen, the animations and the sensors
- Video lessons running to university level, against pre-K to 12 for Evo
Questions
The ones people actually ask
How is Ari different from Evo?
The screen, the sensing and the grade range. Evo reads color and follows lines for grades K–5. Ari does all of that and adds a 390 by 390 touchscreen, a time-of-flight sensor, an accelerometer and a gyroscope, for grades 3–8.
What grades is Ari for?
Grades 3 through 8. Younger students are better served by Evo, which does the same screen-free coding without the screen to look after.
Do we have to replace our Evos?
No. They run the same free lesson portal and read the same Color Codes. Schools usually run Evo in the lower grades and Ari above them.
Does Ari need Wi-Fi?
For the Ozobot Editor on a tablet, yes. Color Code work on paper needs no network at all.
How many students share one robot?
Two. The same answer as Evo, and the same reason: a third pair of hands turns a builder into a spectator.
Is there a subscription?
No. Ozobot Classroom is free and the price on this page is the whole cost.
