Classroom To GO Units

Force and Motion Physical Science

Force & Motion introduces students to how pushes, pulls, and gravity affect the movement of objects. Students learn how balanced and unbalanced forces influence speed and direction while exploring simple machines and motion in systems like rockets, cars, and airplanes. They also design and test objects to observe how force changes motion.

NGSS: 3-PS2-1 3-PS2-2

Magnetic and Electrical Forces Physical Science

Magnetic & Electrical Forces explores how magnets and electric charges interact with objects without direct contact. Students learn how magnetic fields attract or repel certain metals and how static electricity forms when objects rub together. They also investigate how these forces can move objects and power simple designs and devices.

NGSS: 3-PS2-3 3-PS2-4

Life Cycles and Traits Life Science

Life Cycles & Traits focuses on how living things grow, change, and pass traits to the next generation. Students learn about plant and butterfly life cycles and how organisms develop through repeating stages. They also explore inherited traits and how unique features, such as fingerprints, make individuals different.

NGSS: 3-LS1-1 3-LS3-1

Organisms and their Environments l Life Science

Organisms & Their Environments I examines how plant and animal traits help organisms survive in their habitats. Students learn how roots help plants absorb water and nutrients and how animals have adaptations such as waterproof feathers, webbed feet, and specialized vision. They also explore how these traits help organisms live and thrive in different environments.

NGSS: 3-LS3-2

Organisms and their Environments ll Life Science

Organisms & Their Environments II explores how organisms use adaptations to survive and interact with their environments. Students learn how mimicry and camouflage help animals avoid predators and how body structures support movement and survival. They also investigate fossils to understand how scientists learn about organisms and environments from the past.

NGSS: 3-LS4-1 3-LS4-2 3-LS4-3

Weather and Human Activity Earth and Space Science

Weather & Human Activity focuses on how scientists measure and observe weather. Students learn how tools such as anemometers, thermometers, barometers, and weathervanes measure wind speed, temperature, air pressure, and wind direction. They also explore how these measurements help meteorologists understand and predict weather patterns.

NGSS: 3-ESS3-1 3-ESS2-2 3-5-ETS1-1
